Job summary

BayCare in Clearwater seeks a Director of Community Benefit to lead the planning, development, and evaluation of initiatives that advance health equity and community health outcomes. You will manage a team, work with internal and external stakeholders on CHNAs and reporting, and drive systemwide strategies for social determinants of health, engagement, and outreach.

This exempt, full-time role requires a Master’s degree and extensive post-graduate experience in community health.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Social Work, Nursing, Healthcare Management, Public Health or related field.
• 8 years of Community Benefit or related (public) health program experience.
• 5 years of management experience.
• Certified Public Health (CPH) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership for BayCare’s Community Benefit program, overseeing the planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and reporting of initiatives that advance health equity and improve community health outcomes.
• Leading and participating on internal and external committees, the Director guides systemwide strategies related to the social determinants of health, community engagement, and volunteerism.
• Leading Community Benefit staff and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to execute Community Health Needs Assessments and implementation plans while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accurate Community Benefit reporting.
• The position also provides operational leadership for BayCare’s community health programs and outreach activities, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and measurable community impact.
