Job summary

Northwood Space is seeking a Director, Commercial Growth to propel growth across its commercial customer base and help shape the company’s strategy in the growing commercial space market.

You will lead engagement with priority accounts spanning satellite communications, IoT connectivity, Earth observation, and in-space opportunities, partnering with leadership, product, and engineering teams to translate buyer needs into strategy and program execution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in business development, growth, capture, or related roles in commercial space or adjacent tech industries.
• Experience shaping or executing complex technical programs for commercial customers with knowledge of space markets and buying dynamics.
• Ability to work in-person in Los Angeles or Washington, DC

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end business development and growth across Northwood's commercial customer base from early engagement to award and expansion.
• Develop and maintain relationships with executives, procurement, and partner organizations across space operators and adjacent industries.
• Create and execute account and campaign strategies for priority commercial customers and markets.
• Identify and shape opportunities aligned to Northwood's capabilities in commercial space comms, ground infrastructure, sensing, and related areas.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and mission teams to translate customer needs into strategy and execution.
• Provide market insights to inform Northwood's product direction and long-term growth plans.
