Job summary

Patrick Ta Beauty seeks a Director of Product Development to lead color cosmetics from concept to production start-up. This onsite role in West Hollywood, CA, reports to the VP and shapes shade development across lip, eye and cheek while building a small team.

Travel up to 60% will be required as you drive launches and enforce regulatory and claims alignment. The position focuses on hands-on bench work and leadership, delivering innovative formulas and compelling shade stories aligned with brand

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product development experience in beauty and color cosmetics.
• Proven leadership of teams or projects.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovation and concept development for color cosmetics from idea to production.
• Write briefs and coordinate with labs and contract manufacturers.
• Evaluate shade development, payoff, wear and batch consistency across lip, eye and cheek.
• Own shade analysis, identify gaps and curate assortments for leadership presentation.
• Lead on-site approvals during lab development, pilot batches and production start-up.
• Partner with Regulatory to ensure safety testing, claims substantiation and compliance.
• Manage launch program milestones with cross-functional teams (Operations, Regulatory, Marketing).
• Coach and develop junior team members and foster a collaborative culture.
