Job summary

IQVIA seeks a Director of Architecture to lead architecture strategy and governance for a large-scale data and platform transformation across Azure, AWS and GCP. You will shape scalable, secure solutions and drive multi-cloud architecture with emphasis on modern data platforms and analytics.

The role partners with business and technology leaders to ensure alignment to program goals, defines standards, and guides solution delivery across streams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of architecture, engineering, or platform leadership experience.
• Proven track record delivering solutions in multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Strong data platform expertise with Snowflake, Databricks and data warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture strategy and governance across a large-scale, multi-cloud data program.
• Define and drive architecture standards for scalable, reusable solutions.
• Oversee end-to-end architecture across Azure, AWS, GCP and diverse data layers.
• Translate business needs into pragmatic technical architectures.
• Lead design reviews and ensure alignment with patterns and standards.
• Drive modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, lakehouse), analytics and AI capabilities.
• Architect data warehousing, integration, and analytics for high-volume processing.
• Enable AI/ML and automation across the data lifecycle.
• Define the roadmap for a governed cloud-scale data platform.
• Mentor teams and enforce architectural governance across streams.
• Partner with product, engineering, infra and downstream teams for alignment.
• Manage cloud costs and FinOps initiatives at scale.
