Job summary

St. John’s Community Health in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Director of Clinical Training & Employee Health to build and lead a centralized training function and oversee the Employee Health program across the organization.

This executive role requires strategic, hands-on nursing leadership, development of onboarding standards, competency checklists, and collaboration with CMO, People & Culture, Quality, Risk, and site leaders.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted California RN license.
• BSN or related field degree.
• 5+ years clinical experience with 3+ in education, staff development, or employee health.
• 2+ years supervisory or program leadership experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Knowledge of adult learning, competency-based curriculum design, infection prevention, and occupational health requirements.
• Willingness to travel between LA, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and launch an organization-wide clinical training program for medical staff and support roles.
• Create onboarding, competency checklists, annual skills validation, curricula, and documentation standards.
• Lead training content in MedTrainer and Connect Journey onboarding.
• Align training with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee employee health screening, immunization, and records; manage exposures and privacy.
