For our client, we are seeking a Director - Clinical Research Scientist to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.
This role will help shape global medical and clinical strategies across the trial lifecycle, with a focus on protocol development, scientific rigor, and patient safety. The position partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure clinical programs are designed and executed in alignment with local requirements and broader business objectives. The work also supports regulatory submissions, labeling activities, and late-stage studies that inform commercialization and key scientific decisions.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $177,000 – $338,800 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to global medical plans throughout the clinical trial lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clinical programs meet local needs and regulatory requirements
• Conduct protocol design and execution for clinical trials while monitoring patient safety
• Review and contribute to clinical documentation, including protocols and study reports
• Engage with external experts and stakeholders to address scientific inquiries and research
• Support regulatory submissions and collaborate on local labeling in line with business objectives
• Drive the development of medical strategies supporting brand commercialization and answer key questions through Phase 3b/4 studies

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, DVM, MSN/NP, or related) plus 5+ years of clinical or pharmaceutical experience, or BS/MS in a health, medical, or scientific field plus 7-10 years of relevant experience
• Experience in clinical trials, drug development, or related areas such as epidemiology, toxicology, pharmacology, regulatory affairs, or medical affairs
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Demonstrated ability to balance scientific and business priorities
• Ability to influence cross-functionally
