Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Executive Director of Clinical Development to lead global neuropsychiatric and rare disease programs. The role focuses on developing and executing clinical development plans, overseeing study design and reporting, and ensuring regulatory submissions are robust and timely.

The candidate will foster investigator and thought leader relationships, guide lifecycle management, and travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent with 10+ years in clinical practice, research, or pharma.
• Experience across multiple development phases.
• Established relationships in depression, mood disorders, or neurology.
• Leadership in cross-functional, geographically diverse teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Role:

Executive Director, Clinical Development, leading global neuropsychiatric and rare disease clinical programs at Acadia Pharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities:

• develop and execute clinical development plans
• oversee study design, data analysis, and reporting
• foster relationships with investigators and thought leaders
• support regulatory submissions
• provide scientific expertise to transition compounds from discovery to development and lifecycle management
• review business development opportunities
• ensure compliance with GxP, regulatory, and ethical standards

Requirements:
