Job summary

Raymond James is seeking a Software Engineering Technology Associate Director to lead the Client Access core engineering team, building and supporting the digital client experience. This role partners with Product, Architecture, and business stakeholders to translate priorities into secure, scalable solutions.

Hybrid work policy requires three days in the office weekly, with at least one Monday or Friday. The role emphasizes technical and people leadership, delivery oversight, and incident

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of relevant technology experience including software development and people-management or technical-leadership.
• Experience leading delivery and support of enterprise applications in a regulated environment is preferred.
• Financial services experience with client-facing digital platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements with Product, Architecture, and business stakeholders; establish priorities and ensure end-to-end integration.
• Direct projects through SDLC using Agile practices and measurable success criteria.
• Oversee internally developed and vendor-provided solutions; coordinate vendors and implementation planning.
• Manage workforce capacity, budgets, and goals; maintain engineering processes and accountability.
• Promote engineering practices, continuous improvement, and staying current with fintech trends.
• Lead, coach, and develop engineers and technical leads; foster a culture of trust and inclusion.
• Support workforce planning and succession; ensure skills meet future priorities.
• Establish ownership for production support, incident response, root-cause analysis, and service improvements.
