You will oversee daily administration, coordinate with TPAs and home office on large losses, and partner with underwriting and other stakeholders to deliver outstanding service to internal and external clients while upholding Starr's standards.

Cargo Claims Director

The Cargo Claims Director is a pivotal senior leadership position accountable for the daily administration and strategic management of all cargo claims operations within the [Region]. This leader is responsible for adjusting, handling, and settling a substantial volume of marine cargo claims, ensuring an efficient and compliant process from initial notification through final resolution. The role requires coordinated activity with third-party administrators (TPAs), close collaboration with home office personnel on large losses exceeding branch authority, and establishing strong, productive relationships with underwriting and other key stakeholders.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets: experience and training: licensure and certifications: and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $150,000-$175,000
