Job summary

Beloit College is seeking a Director of Career Works to guide an integrated student development operation and deliver innovative programs for students, alumni, and partners. You will lead staff, manage budgets, and align services with the College's mission to support student success across the curriculum and community.

The role emphasizes data-driven assessment, external engagement, and scalable programming, with opportunities to shape career readiness throughout the student experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Seven years or more of progressive experience in career development or related field.
• Experience with undergraduate student populations and diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads short- and long-range operating plans, including budgets, programs, services, personnel, technology, and space.
• Recruits, hires, supervises, and supports ongoing professional development of Career Works staff.
• Directs data collection, analysis, and center assessment, including student engagement metrics and first destination outcomes.
• Oversees transportation coordination for student internship placements.
• Provides individualized advising to students on career development and post-graduate planning.
• Collaborates with alumni, employers, and academic partners to enhance career opportunities.
