Job summary

Beloit College seeks a Director of Career Works to implement an entrepreneurial vision for career readiness across the student experience. The role develops and manages an integrated operation delivering innovative, user-friendly programs and support to students, alumni, employers, faculty, staff, and community partners.

Reporting to the Provost & Dean, this leader coordinates assessment, advising, strategic planning, and partnerships with Academic Affairs, Advancement, and external partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• At least seven years of progressive experience in career development or related field.
• Experience with undergraduate students and diverse backgrounds.
• Experience developing programs and services supporting students from varied backgrounds.
• Experience hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff.
• Experience with budget development and management.

Responsibilities

• Lead short- and long-range operating plans, budgets, programs, personnel, technology, and space.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, and support Career Works staff.
• Direct data collection and analysis for center assessment and reporting.
• Coordinate transportation for student internship placements.
• Provide individualized advising on career development and post-graduate planning.
• Develop partnerships with alumni, employers, and external partners.
• Lead development and management of the calendar of career programming.
• Teach for-credit internship and Impact Beloit courses as appropriate.
