Job summary

Beloit College is seeking a Director of Career Works to implement an entrepreneurial vision that advances career readiness across the student experience. You will lead an integrated operation delivering innovative, user-friendly programs and support to students, alumni, employers, and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Seven years of progressively responsible experience in career development, community engagement, volunteer management, or related field.
• Experience working with undergraduate students of diverse backgrounds; experience in liberal arts settings preferred.
• Experience developing and implementing career development, community-engagement, or other student development programs.
• Experience hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating employees.
• Experience with budget development and management.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads short- and long-range operating plans, including budgets, programs, services, personnel, technology, and space.
• Directs the collection, analysis, and use of data for center assessment, including student engagement metrics, first destination outcomes, and required institutional and regulatory reporting.
• Provides individualized advising to students on career development, experiential learning, and post-graduate planning.
• Leads the design, implementation, and transition of pilot programs and courses; coordinates with faculty or staff as initiatives stabilize.
• Represents the college at external events and professional associations.
