Job summary

Montgomery Community College invites applications for the NCWorks Career Development Director to lead career services and workforce programs under WIOA guidance. Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related field required.
• Two years of career services/workforce development experience.
• Supervisory experience and familiarity with WIOA programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement strategies to meet WIOA performance measures established by the workforce board.
• Interview job seekers to assess needs, determine eligibility, and develop employment strategies.
• Review assessments to recommend training and job placement opportunities.
• Monitor compliance and maintain documentation for reporting standards.
• Provide ongoing career counseling, training guidance, and support to participants.
• Collaborate with businesses to identify workforce demand and training opportunities.
• Coordinate with agencies to provide information on eligibility and referrals.
• Assist employers with job orders, applicant screening, and hiring needs.
• Develop orientations for special populations and deliver career planning workshops.
• Prepare reports and maintain program data; enter data into state systems.
• Maintain the on-campus Resource Room with career resources and labor market information.
• Develop participant action plans including skills remediation and counseling.
• Assist job seekers with resumes, interview prep, and employer targeting.
