Brown University seeks an Executive Director of the Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch Center for Career Exploration and Associate Dean of the College. This leader will align career exploration with Brown’s Open Curriculum, guiding a large, diverse team to serve thousands of undergraduates.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, data analytics, and partnerships across Brown’s colleges, driving lifelong career development and student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in career services or related field, at least 5 in a management role.
• Ability to sustain long-term relationships with alumni, employer partners, faculty, staff, and students; experience designing an inclusive vision.
• Experience in career advising and education; building inclusive change with alumni and employer partners.
• Executive leadership with inclusive, mission-driven management; experience leading diverse teams.
• Experience with assessment: developing and evaluating program efficacy in higher education.
• Strong data collection, statistical analysis, survey design, and data visualization skills.
• Outcome-focused: translate metrics into strategies improving student engagement and post-graduation success.
• Fundraising experience with donor cultivation and stewardship.
• Commitment to advising undergraduates and supporting their academic and career goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead Tisch Center for Career Exploration and advise undergraduates.
• Provide strategic direction and oversee staff of 20+ FTE and 50+ student peer advisors.
• Integrate career exploration into Brown’s undergraduate experience and serve on senior leadership.
• Collaborate with College divisions and university committees; advocate for innovation in career education.
• Manage multimillion-dollar annual budget and resources.
• Champion evidence-based practice and use data analytics to guide programs.
• Support self-directed learners and lifelong career development.
