Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
• 7+ years in management or leadership roles
• 5+ years of high-level financial modeling, scenario analysis and strategic analysis with senior executives in healthcare
• Understanding GAAP and statutory financial statements, risk-based capital and inter-relationships of revenue, expenses and capital

Responsibilities

• Oversee department operations including hiring, coaching, rewards, performance management and staff productivity; plan, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Lead development of capital forecasting processes and coordinate capital committee materials and meetings.
• Establish and implement annual capital budgets and related processes.
• Direct business planning and development, partnering with senior executives to set assumptions for volumes and financial metrics.
• Ensure look-back analyses test key assumptions and outcomes against approved capital plans.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and effective communication within the department and with internal/external partners.
• Collaborate with finance, actuarial, budgeting, IT and other departments to discuss model assumptions and financial modeling results.
• Support enterprise strategic planning by modeling financial results to meet corporate objectives and risk-adjusted returns under various scenarios.
• Communicate model outcomes effectively to Senior Leadership and assist analysts in presenting findings.
