About the role
A leading credit union is launching a Business Transformation team, and we’re looking for a hands‑on leader to help get it off the ground. You’ll lead transformation engagements yourself while building a small team of analysts. You’ll partner with business leaders across Lending, Operations, Finance, Business Banking, Wealth, and HR to redesign how the credit union works as it grows.
This is a working leadership role. You’ll be in the room running workshops, mapping processes, and driving adoption, not just overseeing others who do. If you’ve led engagements in management consulting or a transformation office and want to see your work through to real results, this role is built for you.
What you’ll do
- Lead transformation engagements end to end, from discovery and current‑state assessment through redesign, implementation, and adoption
- Build, mentor, and manage a team of Business Transformation Analysts, and help develop the methods and templates they work from
- Partner with business leaders to spot operating‑model and process improvement opportunities early, before they turn into projects
- Work with the PMO on intake and prioritization, helping separate transformational work from standard delivery
- Lead process reengineering, operating‑model changes, and technology‑enabled change, including human‑AI workflow design
- Assign team members to engagements and manage team capacity
- Track and report adoption, process improvements, and business results to the VP of Technology Solutions and business stakeholders
What you bring
- 7+ years in business transformation, process improvement, management consulting, or transformation‑office work, including 3+ years leading teams or engagements as a Manager, Sr. Manager, Engagement Lead, or equivalent
- Hands‑on experience leading operating‑model redesign, process reengineering, and change management through to adoption
- Experience managing and developing a team of analysts or consultants
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority
- A bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Experience in financial services or another regulated industry
- An MBA or similar advanced degree
- Process improvement certification (Lean, Six Sigma, Prosci, or similar)
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery and with portfolio or resource management
Why this credit union
- Help build a new team from the start and shape how it works
- High visibility with business leaders across the organization
- A member‑owned credit union focused on improving members’ financial lives
