Job summary

Citrin Cooperman is seeking a Business Process Outsourcing Director to lead day-to-day financial operations for clients within our Advisory Department. You will oversee GL, AP/AR, payroll, and reporting, while guiding onshore and offshore teams and driving process improvements.

Ideal candidates have controller-level experience, broad industry knowledge, and strong communication skills to manage client relationships and technical accounting decisions.

Qualifications

• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and ability to develop trusted relationships
• Proven experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar role
• Experience across professional services, manufacturing, construction, and healthcare industries valued
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, closure, reporting)
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial data analysis/forecasting
• Experience with multiple accounting systems (QuickBooks, Xero, Dynamics, NetSuite, Intacct)
• Expert in Excel

Responsibilities

• Run the day-to-day financial operations of our clients including the general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, collections, and financial reporting
• Monitor our team’s usage of internal procedures, processes, and controls
• Manage onshore and offshore staff performing transactional accounting activities and data synthesis for clients
• Assist in preparation of financial statements in compliance with guidelines
• Manage communications with vendors, customers, partners, banks and other stakeholders
• Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly/annual closings
• Assist in budgets and forecasts and cleanup of client books and records
• Advise on technical accounting decisions and develop models/analysis for client requests
