Job summary

Citrin Cooperman in Philadelphia seeks a Business Process Outsourcing Manager to lead client financial operations, including general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and reporting. You will supervise both onshore and offshore staff and ensure internal controls are followed.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple ERP systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Dynamics, NetSuite, and Intacct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA certification a plus.
• Experience in professional services, manufacturing, construction or healthcare valued.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day financial operations including the general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and reporting.
• Supervise onshore and offshore staff and ensure process controls.
• Prepare financial statements and support monthly/annual closings.
• Coordinate communications with vendors, clients, and banks.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and ERP implementations.

As a Manager, you will be responsible for:Run the day-to-day financial operations of our clients including the general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, collections, and financial reportingMonitor our team’s usage of our internal procedures, processes, and controlsManage both onshore and offshore staff on an ongoing basis as they perform transactional activities, technical accounting activities, and synthesize data into reports or analysis for the clientsAssist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirementsManage communications with vendors, customers, partners, shareholders, banks, and other interested parties for each clientManage journal entries, reconciliations, and coordinating the overall effort for the monthly and annual closing processesAssist in the preparation of budgets and forecastsReview the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalancesConvert customers to new accounting systems and perform cleanup activities on clients’ books and recordsAdvise and assist with technical accounting decisionsDevelop models and analysis for client requestsEncourage ongoing improvement of internal operations, taking input from key business stakeholders (or senior staff) and developing process, technology, or structural improvementsOutstanding interpersonal communication skills and is highly effective in developing trusted relationships in person, over the phone, and through written communicationsProven experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or other similar positionExperience in several different industries - professional services, manufacturing, construction, and healthcare are particularly valuedExcellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes and of the structure necessary to run them efficiently and effectively (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)Knowledge and experience of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)Understanding of data analysis and forecastingExperience with multiple accounting systems which could include Quickbooks, Xero, Dynamics, NetSuite, Intacct, and other middle-market accounting and ERP packagesExpert in ExcelWell-organized with ability to prioritizeExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong Attention to detail and problem-solving abilityBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a relevant field is preferredExperience participating in an ERP implementation is a plusProfessional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
