Director, Business Operations
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Director of Business Operations to lead and optimize the operational infrastructure supporting starpower’s entertainment marketing initiatives for a key beverage alcohol client. This role will serve as the operational lead across MSA negotiation, pricing strategy, procurement reporting, and business process governance, ensuring client satisfaction and operational excellence.
Working closely with the Business Affairs team, client stakeholders, and cross-functional internal partners, the Director will drive operational rigor, streamline workflows, and ensure transparency and alignment across talent-led campaigns and broader brand initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in agency or marketing operations, procurement strategy, and business planning, ideally within the beverage alcohol or CPG industries.

What You'll Do
Business Operations & Process Leadership
- Lead MSA negotiation and renewal discussions, ensuring alignment with client expectations, risk mitigation, and commercial best practices.
- Serve as the operational point person for all process evolutions tied to talent-led campaigns, including intake, approvals, budgeting, and reconciliation, leaning on Airtable as the central technology resource internally.
- Conduct and respond to client-requested process audits, identifying opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and enhanced performance.
- Develop and maintain scalable operational frameworks that support internal workflows and cross-functional coordination.
Procurement Oversight & Pricing Strategy
- Build and manage procurement reports that track campaign expenditures, vendor contracts, and financial performance of marketing programs.
- Lead the development of pricing strategies for campaign scopes and talent engagements, balancing client objectives with agency profitability.
- Partner with client procurement teams to provide documentation, insight, and reporting that align with internal purchasing guidelines.
- Support quarterly business reviews with detailed cost analysis, performance metrics, and recommended optimizations.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key liaison with client-side business operations and procurement teams, ensuring alignment on expectations, deliverables, and reporting.
- Manage internal relationships across Business Affairs, strategy, and creative teams to ensure operational consistency and performance accountability.
- Support external agency partnerships and vendor relationships to ensure smooth coordination across talent, production, and activation efforts.
- Help maintain internal process documentation and support cross-training and onboarding initiatives for operations-related responsibilities.
What You Should Have
- 7+ years of experience in business operations, procurement, or marketing operations, preferably in an agency or entertainment marketing environment.
- Demonstrated experience with MSA negotiation, pricing development, and financial tracking for client-facing engagements.
- Strong understanding of procurement practices and operational reporting, particularly in regulated industries like beverage alcohol or CPG.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience conducting or supporting operational audits, process assessments, and business reviews.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across internal teams and client stakeholders.
- Proven ability to bring structure, discipline, and efficiency to complex business operations.
Pay Range: $95,000.00-$150,000.00
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
