Job summary

Ally Financial is seeking a Director of Business Intelligence to lead BI initiatives, shape data strategy, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights across Consumer Banking’s Value Stream. The role drives reporting, governance, and KPI adoption to improve business outcomes.

You will collaborate with business, product, operations, technology, and analytics teams, oversee cross-functional delivery, and explore AI-enabled solutions to boost efficiency and value

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, business analysis, or related fields.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional analyses and initiatives.
• Experience developing and governing KPI frameworks, dashboards, and reporting.
• Experience translating business requirements into analytical specifications and user stories.

Responsibilities

• Lead BI and analytics initiatives supporting Value Stream objectives.
• Own data strategy for the Fraud Data Plane enabling real-time data streaming for fraud detection and analytics.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify data needs and translate findings into recommendations.
• Develop and govern KPI frameworks, scorecards, dashboards, and executive reporting.
• Establish baseline metrics, targets, and variance reporting to monitor performance and value realization.
• Standardize, automate, and improve BI reporting processes and KPI management.
• Identify data sources and ensure data quality, governance, and controls.
• Coordinate across business, product, operations, technology, and analytics teams to translate requirements into specs and tests.
