Business Development Director – UKG
  • Can be located anywhere in the continental USA

RSM is seeking a dynamic Business Development Director to join our growing team. This role focuses on selling business application solutions supporting our Human Capital Solutions Consulting Service Line, with a particular emphasis on UKG.

The Business Development Director will lead all aspects of the sales process, including prospect targeting, developing opportunity-specific sales strategies, selecting pursuit teams, and 'quarterbacking' the entire sales process. The individual will build and maintain strong sales pipelines and forecasts, prepare and deliver presentations/proposals, and close sales agreements. Collaboration with industry and line of business leaders is essential to co-lead growth efforts through prospecting, networking, and participation in industry groups and associations.

This position provides all necessary resources for success, including a competitive base salary and an uncapped incentive plan. We seek candidates with a proven track record in selling UKG solutions.

Responsibilities:
  1. Sourcing and qualifying HCM opportunities with companies not yet served by the firm.
  2. Executing the sales plan and coordinating internal and external resources to secure business.
  3. Constructing UKG application demonstrations.
  4. Networking with contacts, industry groups, and associations.
  5. Identifying and targeting key companies within industry teams.
  6. Supporting cross-selling of services to existing clients.
  7. Engaging with UKG sales and partner teams to co-manage opportunities.
  8. Managing implementation service requests and referrals.
  9. Coordinating with internal teams for system selection projects.
  10. Co-selling RSM implementation services with vendors.
  11. Educating prospects on RSM's value-added services.
  12. Creating Statements of Work (SOWs) and following up on sales processes.
  13. Maintaining CRM daily.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Desire to work in a fast-growing sales team.
  • Active network of C-level contacts.
  • Community involvement with industry or civic groups.
  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and organizational skills.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience selling ERP, HCM, and/or CRM solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience selling UKG and/or Implementation Services.
  • Experience working across various industries and with middle-market companies ($20M - $1B revenue).
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles from start to finish.
  • Experience with CRM tools and social media for networking.
  • Excellent negotiation and influence skills; strong executive presence.
  • Self-motivated with good time management skills.
  • Solution selling training is a plus.
  • Experience with technology channel partners, including UKG.
  • Travel required (local and overnight).

Salary range: $100,000 - $300,000. Compensation includes potential discretionary bonuses based on performance.
