Job Description:

Role Summary

As Director, Business Development - AEC (Architecture + Engineering + Construction), you will be responsible for relationship development, project development, sales campaigns, and business planning for clients within the Life Science Markets. You will lead clients through business case development, front-end planning, and project development for manufacturing and distribution-focused capital investments.

Success in this role is measured by your ability to win new business, expand existing relationships, and deliver rewarding client experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide client, technical, and project delivery leadership in the development of capital projects for the Life Science markets.
• Lead and collaborate on the development of front-end programming, planning, schematic design, and preconstruction of projects.
• Develop and execute client development and sales strategy to achieve business goals.
• Develop long-standing client relationships based on trust and technical excellence.
• Focus on overall project success related to scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and operational performance.
• Analyze and develop specialized technical solutions to meet client objectives.
• Mentor and provide guidance to other AEC professionals within the firm.
• Lead and coordinate market and trend analysis; client and business development planning.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in the development, design, and construction of facilities.
• Leadership skills with a drive to grow and expand client relationships.
• Understanding of facility operational requirements and various industry regulatory requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• BS or MS degree in a related Engineering discipline, Architecture, Construction Management, or related technical degree.
