Job description

We are assembling a high-performing design team to elevate strategic sales opportunities within the Communications & Industrial market within IBM Consulting. This team will be tasked with translating complex and varied information into compelling, visually engaging narratives. They will leverage their expertise to craft presentations, prototypes, videos, websites, and other deliverables that resonate with executive stakeholders and drive impactful business outcomes. The team will operate in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with sales, marketing, and technical experts to ensure client solutions are communicated effectively and persuasively.

Responsibilities:

1. Define and communicate the creative vision for projects.
2. Manage and mentor the design team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
3. Engage with executives to understand business objectives and provide strategic design recommendations.
4. Oversee the development of deliverables to ensure alignment with client goals and brand standards.
5. Lead brainstorming sessions and provide feedback to drive innovative outcomes.

Your role and responsibilities:

The Design Director will lead the team, setting the creative vision and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, impactful design work. They will act as the primary liaison between the design team and executive stakeholders, translating strategic objectives into creative solutions that elevate client engagements.

This job can be performed from anywhere in the US.

Required education:

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise:

1. Extensive experience in strategic visual storytelling for corporate audiences.
2. Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote).
3. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
4. Exceptional ability to grasp and simplify complex technical concepts.
5. Proven ability to present to and influence executive stakeholders.
