Director, Product Experience Design Overview
We are seeking a talented User Experience Design Subject Matter Expert to support the evolution of our enterprise Product Onboarding Strategy, helping deliver intuitive, consistent, and user-centered onboarding experiences across our product portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional partners to design and refine onboarding experiences across key capabilities such as configuration, enablement, testing, and workflows. You will play a critical role in translating onboarding strategy into practical, high-quality user experiences that improve usability, reduce friction, and drive faster adoption. As part of a broader experience-led shift, you will help bring consistency and clarity to onboarding journeys, contributing to reusable design patterns and ensuring that user needs are reflected in product decisions and delivery.
As the User Experience Design SME, you will design and deliver user experiences across Product Onboarding capabilities, helping translate complex workflows into clear, intuitive user journeys. You will work across platforms such as Settings, SCM, ODT, and Product Express to create user flows, interaction models, and design artifacts that improve usability and align with established experience principles. Your focus will be on executing high-quality design solutions that simplify onboarding tasks and enhance the end-to-end user experience. You will partner closely with Product Managers, TPMs, and Engineering teams to support design efforts from concept through delivery. This includes contributing to requirements through user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes, ensuring that user needs are represented and design decisions are grounded in usability best practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment between business goals, technical feasibility, and user experience outcomes. In this role, you will contribute to driving consistency across onboarding experiences by applying and extending existing design patterns, frameworks, and standards. You will help reduce fragmentation by aligning to shared UX principles and ensuring that designs are cohesive across products and touchpoints, while still meeting the needs of specific use cases. You will also support the incorporation of customer and user feedback into design decisions. This includes participating in user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. You will use these insights to refine designs and improve the overall usability, accessibility, and effectiveness of onboarding experiences. Finally, you will contribute to design quality and governance by participating in design reviews, ensuring adherence to UX standards and best practices, and providing input to improve design consistency and usability. You will work collaboratively with more senior designers and stakeholders to ensure that delivered solutions align with the intended user experience and meet quality expectations.
