Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Director of Business Strategy for Building & Infrastructure in Bentonville, AR. You will lead asset strategy for Stores, Clubs and DCs, focusing on building structure, plumbing, and pavement, and translate condition data into multi-year capital plans.

You will own the capital portfolio, drive disciplined execution, and lead a team of experts to optimize lifecycle performance while managing risk and budget. This role requires strong financial acumen and strategic vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Social Science, Communications, or related field.
• 6 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area; 2 years’ supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise building and infrastructure asset strategy across structure, plumbing, pavement.
• Own capital portfolio strategy and prioritization.
• Drive disciplined capital execution.
• Lead and develop a team of subject matter experts, establishing clear technical ownership, standards, governance, and accountability.
• Establish asset lifecycle standards and decision frameworks.
• Provide strong financial leadership including annual and long-range capital planning.
• Improve portfolio visibility through data and analytics, developing condition indices, performance measures, etc.
• Partner with engineering and construction teams.
• Establish governance for capital programs.
• Evaluate completed investments and program performance.
• Influence cross-functional enterprise decisions by serving as the senior subject matter leader.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation.
