Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, finance, economics, engineering, law, or related field.
• 10+ years in utility renewable procurement, generation development, asset acquisition, or senior commercial leadership.
• Experience with BTAs, asset acquisitions, or utility-owned generation investments.
• Understanding of ITC/PTC, tax incentives, depreciation, and related tax attributes.
• Ability to lead complex cross-functional transactions and communicate with executives.
• Willing to travel up to 35% in North America.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead Hanwha Renewables’ BTA origination strategy across priority U.S. utility markets with a repeatable pipeline.
• Develop and execute BTA commercialization strategies, including RFPs, bilateral origination, pricing and negotiation.
• Build and lead the BTA initiative with commercial strategy, processes, market intelligence, and cross-functional coordination.
• Lead preparation and submission of utility procurement responses for BTA and asset acquisitions (solar, storage, hybrid).
• Develop senior relationships with utility procurement, resource planning, finance, tax, legal, and executive teams.
• Lead BTA term sheets, asset purchase agreements, and related negotiations with Development, M&A, Finance, Tax, Legal, Engineering, and Construction.
• Translate utility requirements into actionable project-development criteria (schedule, permitting, interconnection, EPC, transfer mechanics).
• Evaluate transaction economics from developer and utility-owner perspectives, including tax and depreciation considerations.
• Monitor IRPs, procurement plans, regulatory filings, and RFP calendars to identify opportunities early.
• Partner with Project Development and M&A to shape projects for utility ownership and provide senior management with recommendations.
