Job summary

Hanwha Renewables is seeking an Associate Director, M&A and Strategic Development to lead and execute renewable energy transactions, oversee divestitures, and drive portfolio monetization. You will work closely with Finance, Legal, Development, and executive leadership to structure, negotiate, and close complex deals.

The role reports to the CBDO and requires 7–12+ years in relevant fields, with a track record in renewable energy transactions, strong financial modeling, and strategic thinking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
• 7–12+ years of relevant professional experience with meaningful transaction execution experience in renewable energy development, investment banking, project finance, corporate development, or related fields.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, transaction structuring, and investment analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead renewable energy M&A transactions, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments.
• Manage transaction processes from initial evaluation through due diligence, negotiation, internal approvals, documentation, and closing.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional due diligence across commercial, technical, legal, tax, accounting, financing, development, and construction workstreams.
• Review financial models, valuation analyses, transaction structures, investment committee materials, and recommendations.
• Present transaction recommendations, key risks, and strategic considerations to senior management and investment committees.
