Job summary

Hanwha Renewables seeks a Senior Manager, Project Development to drive business development for eastern U.S. solar and energy storage projects, identifying opportunities and leading deal realization with a local team.

You will collaborate with internal teams, manage the development pipeline, and support negotiations, permitting, interconnection, and budgeting. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or similar.
• Willing to travel up to 50%.
• Experience in commercial negotiation and project development.
• Experience in solar energy development process.
• Knowledge of renewable energy markets and trends.
• Proven track record closing renewable energy deals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Entrepreneurial leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing business development opportunities from identification to completion.
• Identify and secure renewable power customers and manage the pipeline.
• Develop opportunities to acquire or develop new power facilities in attractive U.S. and international markets.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to validate projects and ensure viability.
• Participate in due diligence and budgeting for projects.
• Serve as liaison between development and financial analysis teams for deal structuring.
• Set up detailed schedules and monitor milestones for tasks.
• Prepare presentations for Senior Management as requested.
