Job summary

NFL is hiring a Director of Broadcast Engineering to lead strategy, operation, modernization, and reliability of mission-critical broadcast systems supporting live production and multi-platform delivery.

The role oversees a cross-functional team, partners with IT, security, and operations, and drives IP-based, cloud-enabled infrastructure with emphasis on latency, resiliency, and scalable production services. On-site presence is required in NFL offices or stadiums.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, broadcast engineering, computer science, information technology, media technology, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in broadcast engineering or live production technology including leadership.
• 5+ years of people-management experience leading engineers, technicians, managers, or vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary broadcast engineering team for live production, technical operations, maintenance, and projects.
• Define team priorities, allocate resources, manage schedules, set performance objectives, and conduct reviews.
• Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Develop career paths, training plans, and succession plans to strengthen leadership bench.
• Partner with production, operations, IT, transmission, digital media, security, procurement, finance, and executives to align staffing with business objectives.
