Job summary

The National Football League is seeking a Director of Broadcast Engineering to lead strategy, operations, and modernization of mission-critical broadcast systems supporting live production, studio operations, transmission, post-production, and multi-platform delivery.

You will manage a diverse team and partner with IT, security, and executive stakeholders to ensure reliable, scalable, and compliant media infrastructure. Onsite role with global impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, broadcast engineering, computer science, information technology, media technology, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in broadcast engineering, media systems engineering, or live production technology with leadership.
• 5+ years of people-management experience leading engineers, technicians, managers, vendors, or MSPs.
• Deep knowledge of broadcast signal flow, control rooms, intercom, routing, and media asset workflows.
• Experience with IP media standards and cloud-enabled, hybrid workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary broadcast engineering team for live production, studio operations, and transmission.
• Define priorities, allocate resources, manage schedules, and conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee design, deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle of studios and media systems.
• Drive transition from SDI to IP, virtualization, and cloud-connected workflows.
• Manage capital projects, budgets, vendor relations, and service contracts.
• Provide senior technical leadership during live events and critical outages.
