Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery in Atlanta seeks an Advanced Systems Engineer to design and deploy live production and broadcast IT infrastructure across facilities and regions.

You will own end-to-end signal routing, monitoring, and automation, and serve as a SME for Tier 3 escalation during high-profile broadcasts. The role requires deep expertise in SDI, IP transport, virtualization, and play-out systems, plus strong collaboration with Network, Production, and Vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of experience in live production projects and/or maintenance; or eight to ten years in advanced IT support/systems design that support live production.
• Understanding of fiber optic technology and broadcast satellite systems.
• Experience with virtualization compute/storage infrastructure and systems, broadcast automation, play-to-air systems (including automation and play-out servers) and live studio & master control environments.
• 2+ years of Associate’s Degree with equivalent experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Effective communicator with Senior Executives, Clients, and Vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and execution, including equipment specification and BOM preparation.
• Oversee system integration and configure components; manage vendor relationships.
• Provide system overviews and training to teams.
• Define workflow efficiencies and drive cost-effective solutions.
• Lead engineering support and incident management during major events.
