Role Overview

The Director - Bridge Programs leads the Bridge Subsidy Initiative through strategic leadership and operational oversight, ensuring program effectiveness, compliance, financial stewardship, stakeholder engagement, and service excellence while building strategic partnerships, driving continuous improvement, and developing a high-performing team dedicated to advancing housing stability and achieving organizational and funder goals.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the Bridge Subsidy Initiative by providing strategic and operational oversight for program planning, staffing, budgeting, compliance, service delivery, risk management, and achievement of organizational and funder objectives.
  • Drive program strategy, performance, and growth by establishing priorities, monitoring key performance indicators, evaluating outcomes, identifying emerging needs, and implementing innovative and sustainable solutions to maximize impact.
  • Represent CCAC externally and cultivate strategic partnerships with funders, government agencies, housing providers, community organizations, and advocacy groups to advance housing stability, strengthen community presence, and support program expansion.
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership and cross-functional teams to align program goals with organizational priorities, enhance service integration, optimize resources, and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Lead and develop the Bridge Program team by setting clear goals and expectations, monitoring performance, and providing regular feedback and guidance. Inspire team excellence by modeling accountability, collaboration, and solution-oriented thinking, and ensure team members are supported, empowered, and high-performing while fostering a positive, purpose-driven culture.
  • Develop staff capability through ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, feedback, and improvement to strengthen team engagement, retention, and impact.

PLEASE NOTE: Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in a related field of study 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Ability to manage program operations and achieve goals.

  • Apply knowledge of regulatory and funder requirements.
  • Manage program budgets with accuracy and accountability.
  • Communicate clearly in written and verbal formats.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) in a related field of study 5+ years relevant experience
  • Proven ability to lead complex programs involving multiple stakeholders and regulatory requirements, with experience in staff supervision, coaching, and team development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Williams and Colbert Consent Decrees and experience working with government-funded programs, along with strong skills in developing, monitoring, and adjusting program budgets.

$75,000 - $85,000 / year

In compliance with the Illinois Equal Pay Act of 2003 (820 ILCS 112/5, et seq.), Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago is required to provide the wages and benefits that it reasonably expects in good faith to offer for any specific job positions posted.
