Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Director Medical Development for the MRD Breast Portfolio to drive clinical leadership in precision oncology, including design of NGS-based assays, validation, and regulatory strategy. You will shape study designs, coordinate cross-functional teams, and build external collaborations with academic and industry partners.

This role supports on-market products, leads evidence generation, and guides external advisory boards.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with fellowship in medical oncology and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Experience in molecular oncology and translation of study results.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership for design, implementation, and reporting of studies.
• Develop external relationships with oncology leaders and investigators.
• Lead external ad boards with pharma and KOLs.
• Translate study results into evidence-based claims for diagnostics.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams including regulatory and medical affairs.
