Job summary

Green Recruitment Company seeks a landowner relations and development professional to independently initiate utility-scale solar, battery storage, and energy infrastructure projects across the United States. You will build landowner relationships, manage acquisitions, and lead early-stage development, coordinating with legal, permitting, and cross-functional teams to accelerate project starts.

Travel up to 35%+ is expected as you engage with landowners, regulators, and partners while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years experience (Manager) or 7+ years (Senior Manager).
• Strong knowledge of land use, environmental regulations, and permitting.
• Strong communication skills, including presenting to regulators, officials, and community stakeholders.
• Proven project management across multiple concurrent projects/budgets.

Responsibilities

• Build landowner relationships through land acquisition and early-stage development.
• Skip trace landowner contacts and locate owners.
• Cold-call, generate landowner interest, negotiate, and close real estate agreements on large projects (500–20,000+ acres).
• Track landowner interactions via CRM and GIS tools.
• Manage outside counsel on real estate contracts.
• Evaluate sites commercially and for risk to initiate projects.
• Initiate Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments and fatal-flaw analysis.
• Coordinate interconnection processes and title/mineral waiver work.
• Partner with real estate, permitting, development, and legal teams.
• Handoff early-stage projects to regional development teams after site control and interconnection are secured.
