Job summary

ZRG Careers seeks a Director, Legal Claims Administration to lead the Recovery Services group in handling complex bankruptcy matters. The role oversees analysis, drafting, and defense strategies for claims under the US Bankruptcy Code while maintaining client relations and data governance.

The candidate must have a JD (MBA preferred) with 5+ years in corporate restructuring, strong Excel skills, and experience coordinating with counsel on settlements and preferred defenses.

Qualifications

• At least five years of substantive corporate bankruptcy or restructuring experience.
• Experience handling preference claims and avoidance actions under the US Bankruptcy Code.
• Ability to independently evaluate claims, analyze data, and support settlement negotiations.
• Experience with client communications and coordination with counsel.
• Proficiency in Excel to manage defense‑analysis models.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and supervise defense analyses, Demand Letters, and Complaints.
• Coordinate with clients, counsel, and transferees on settlements.
• Maintain case trackers and portfolio analysis.
• Supervise staff and ensure timely filing and service of documents.
• Stay current on bankruptcy rules and prepare client alerts.
