Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Bankruptcy Case Manager I to organize and monitor bankruptcy accounts, ensuring maximum recovery within bankruptcy parameters. The role involves analysis, review, and referrals, with emphasis on accurate tracking and timely actions.

Responsibilities include daily case review, research using PACER and AIS, filing proofs of claim, and coordinating with trustees to ensure proper post-petition payments. A strong attention to detail and multitasking ability is required.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in an environment of frequently changing priorities by maintaining a daily work list and special projects.

Responsibilities

• Receive, update and review bankruptcy information daily.
• Research accounts using PACER, AIS, trustee sites and internal systems.
• Prepare and file Proofs of Claim and Transfers of Claim with the bankruptcy courts by deadlines.
• Monitor payments in accordance with the bankruptcy plan including trustee and post-petition payments.
• Identify issues that qualify for legal actions including plan objections and claim objections.
