Job summary

Gilbane Development Company seeks a Director, Asset Management to lead asset management strategy across PBSH and market-rate multifamily assets. You will drive asset-level performance, capital discipline, and long-term value through development, lease-up, stabilization, and repositioning.

The role partners with Development, Construction, Capital Markets, Finance, and Operations to implement plans, manage risk, and report performance to investors and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or Business is required.
• MBA or an advanced degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to translate financial/operational data into actionable strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive asset-level and portfolio-level business plans from development through disposition.
• Partner with Development, Acquisitions, and Capital Markets on deal origination and major investment decisions.
• Provide independent asset management perspective on market assumptions, operating performance, and capital requirements.
• Lead strategy for underperforming assets and coordinate with lenders, investors, and internal teams.
• Oversee asset performance against underwriting, budgets, and long-term value objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve asset issues and improve portfolio performance.
