One of the largest publicly traded real estate investors and fund managers in the world, , with total assets under management in excess of $100 billion, is looking to hire an Asset Management Director.

Position Description

This position will be responsible for all aspects of asset managing a portfolio of student housing assets. The role will be based in our New York office and will report to the Head of Asset Management USA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for the assets and portfolio to maximize portfolio performance
• Drive, motivate, and lead third-party property-level management and leasing teams
• Monitor and report on all aspects of the portfolio
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and capital improvements
• Direct capital projects, including hiring project managers.
• Work closely with leasing managers, including setting pricing
• Help develop and teach asset management analysts on the team
• Other ad hoc projects related to the portfolio

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of student housing asset management experience
• Degree from top-rated school; MBA or other advanced degree a plus
