Hirewell seeks a detail-oriented Retail Asset Management Director for our client in Houston, TX. This leadership role focuses on financial, operational, and conformance standards across development deals, audits, and reporting.

Onsite position with a base salary plus an annual scorecard bonus and project-fee sharing tied to performance. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of asset management experience and a finance-related bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction loan draws, covenant compliance, and loan extensions.
• Prepare investor and JV reporting, capital calls, and waterfall calculations.
• Demonstrate practical AI fluency in daily workflows.
• Manage retail lease administration and landlord work letters.

Job description

Hirewell is seeking a detail-oriented, solutions-driven Retail Asset Management Director with strong financial, operational, and communication skills for our client in Houston, TX.

This seat has an audit and conformance focus, holding each phase of the development deal and its corresponding team accountable to standards.

Compensation Upside:

In addition to the base salary, this Director will earn an annual scorecard bonus tied to conformance outcomes, and a meaningful share of project fees earned in proportion to each project’s performance against its underwriting!

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Retail Experience with an institutional owner’s representative, lender-monitoring firm, or investment fund is preferred, along with 10+ years of relevant experience
• Ability to work onsite in Houston - remote/hybrid work is not permitted
• Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, accounting, construction management, or a related field
