Job summary

A+E Networks is seeking a Director, Applied AI & Strategy to architect and lead an internal AI productivity revolution. You will design agentic interventions, prototype rapidly, and partner across Technology & Operations to liberate staff for higher-value work.

This boots-on-the-ground leadership role demands production-grade AI experience, external focus on AI advances, and strong stakeholder management to drive buy/build/ignore decisions for media workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or demonstrated practical experience.
• 8+ years in a technical function delivering enterprise-grade solutions and workflow automation.
• Expertise architecting logic across complex SaaS ecosystems.
• 2+ years building with LLMs for production-ready agents.
• 3+ years managing complex stakeholder relationships.
• Rapid prototyping using AI-augmented tools to ship code and automations.
• Hands-on with RAG architectures and model fine-tuning.
• AI/ML certifications and cloud platform knowledge are advantageous.
• Background in statistics or mathematics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on AI orchestration and rapid prototyping of agentic solutions.
• Develop and deploy production-grade AI agents with guardrails and observability.
• Integrate AI agents with enterprise resources and APIs.
• Collaborate with Legal, Business Affairs and Cyber Security on governance.
• Define ROI metrics and track hours reclaimed, cost savings, efficiency.
• Translate leadership vision into a tactical, ROI-focused roadmap.
