Job summary

Covista seeks a Director of Applied AI to lead the AI portfolio across three delivery PODs, including No/Low/Medium-Code Agents, High-Code/Full-Code Agents, and RPA. You will govern architecture, vendor delivery, and Responsible AI practices while aligning with Covista's data & AI roadmap.

You will build a strong AI organization, set governance standards, manage partners, and drive measurable business value across Covista's education brands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical field and relevant experience.
• Master's or MBA preferred for senior leadership.
• 10+ years in enterprise technology leadership roles.
• 5+ years leading AI/ML or platform engineering teams.
• Experience in higher education or healthcare environments.
• Experience with Vertex AI Agent Engine, ADK, MCP, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own Applied AI strategy across all three delivery PODs (No/Low/Medium-Code, High-Code/Full-Code, RPA).
• Govern platform architecture and vendor delivery; ensure safe, valuable agents.
• Manage Responsible AI governance: risk, bias evaluation, model cards, gates.
• Lead intake/prioritization across Applied AI backlog and resource planning.
• Mentor and grow AI core team and RPA POD.
