Job summary

Pacific Life Insurance Company is seeking a Director & Actuary for the Annuity Product Development team in Newport Beach, CA; Omaha, NE; or Charlotte, NC. The role blends leadership with hands‑on pricing of diverse annuity products and includes relocation assistance if needed.

This position reports to the Pricing team within the Consumer Markets Division and includes collaboration with cross‑functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or similar field.
• FSA designation.
• At least 10 years of actuarial experience with pricing/risk experience for annuities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of actuaries including students and analysts.
• Design, price, and support launch of new annuity products.
• Oversee pricing models for major product types (variable, fixed-index, indexed, and fixed annuities).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive growth and align with strategy.
• Present pricing, risk, and design decisions to senior management.
