Compensation:

$140,000 - $170,000 base + Bonus

We are partnering with a well-established life insurance organization to identify a Director of Annuity Operations to lead a highly visible function within their annuity new business organization. This role sits at the center of the customer and agent experience, owning execution from application submission through policy issuance.

Just as important, this role requires a thoughtful, intentional people leader - someone who can develop leaders, elevate team performance, and build a culture centered on accountability, growth, and long-term success.

Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end annuity new business lifecycle, including intake, case management, underwriting coordination, and contract issuance
  • Drive performance across service levels, quality, cycle time, and productivity
  • Partner cross-functionally with distribution, marketing, finance, and operations to improve advisor and client experience
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce friction, and scale operations as the business grows
  • Play an active role in cross-functional initiatives and leadership forums to influence broader business outcomes
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead a team of managers and case managers supporting annuity new business and key distribution channels
  • Act as a developer of leaders - coaching managers, building bench strength, and preparing the next layer of leadership
  • Establish a culture of clear expectations, accountability, and continuous feedback
  • Drive succession planning, career pathing, and long-term employee development
  • Balance performance management with a leadership style that is engaging, supportive, and growth-oriented

Pay range and compensation package
