Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Director who will provide clinical and operational leadership for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) across service lines in Indianapolis. The role combines strategic planning, regulatory adherence, and hands-on clinical involvement to ensure top-of-scope APP utilization and achievement of operational and financial metrics.

Qualifications

Maintains license and board certification within the state of Indiana.
Maintains prescriptive authority if required in practice setting.
Requires a masters prepared advanced practice degree such as Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant, Certified Nurse Anesthetist, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Clinical Nurse Specialist, or equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible related work experience in a clinical setting with 3 to 5 years of concurrent management or informal leadership experience.
Ability to occasionally lift/move/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Plan and direct the clinical activities for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) within the assigned Service Line(s).
Oversee adherence to organizational policies and state and federal regulations.
Supervise APPs and other assigned team members, directing daily operations including staffing, quality improvement, customer service, and patient access.
Maintain own clinical practice and competency, actively participating in direct patient care and teaching as required.
