Job Description:

Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer, the Director - Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Officer leads the enterprise AML/BSA and Title 31 compliance program for a corporate casino company. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing a risk-based AML framework across Hard Rock casino properties, including internal controls, suspicious activity monitoring, regulatory reporting, customer due diligence, training, independent testing coordination, and ongoing alignment with federal and state gaming regulatory requirements. This position will be based in Davie, Fl or Las Vegas, NV.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of the Company's enterprise AML/BSA and Title 31 compliance program across corporate and casino property operations.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance AML policies, procedures, standards, and internal controls to support compliance with FinCEN, BSA, OFAC, state gaming, and Company requirements.
  • Oversee risk assessments for BSA/AML and OFAC exposure, including analysis of customer activity, products, services, geographies, gaming operations, payment channels, and property-level risk factors.
  • Direct the review and investigation of customer and account activity identified through BSA monitoring software, system reports, casino operations referrals, and other escalation channels for potential suspicious activity.
  • Ensure timely, accurate preparation, review, and filing of required regulatory reports, including Currency Transaction Reports, Suspicious Activity Reports, and other filings with FinCEN and applicable state regulators.
  • Serve as a corporate subject matter expert and primary liaison to casino properties, executive leadership, internal audit, legal, finance, surveillance, cage operations, gaming operations, and other internal stakeholders on AML matters.
  • Monitor regulatory developments, enforcement trends, AGA AML best practices, and industry updates; recommend program enhancements to address current and emerging AML, BSA, OFAC, and gaming compliance expectations.
  • Coordinate AML procedures among casino properties and support new property openings, acquisitions, system implementations, and operational changes involving AML/BSA policies, controls, training, and reporting processes.
  • Partner with internal audit, external reviewers, regulators, and property leadership on AML examinations, independent testing, remediation plans, issue tracking, and corrective action validation.
  • Prepare and present regular AML program updates, risk trends, key performance indicators, investigation metrics, control enhancements, and compliance status reports to senior leadership and governance committees.
  • Maintain responsibility for Global Compliance Ban processes and related reporting to the Company's Executive Committee, including coordination with relevant business and compliance stakeholders.
  • Oversee AML training strategy in partnership with learning and development teams, ensuring casino property and corporate staff receive role-specific training on suspicious activity identification, reporting obligations, customer due diligence, recordkeeping, and escalation procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Compliance, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years of progressive AML/BSA, financial crimes, regulatory compliance, gaming compliance, or related experience, including experience supporting casino, gaming, financial services, or other highly regulated operations.
  • Minimum of three years of leadership experience managing AML/BSA program responsibilities, compliance operations, investigations, risk assessments, audits, regulatory examinations, or cross-functional compliance initiatives.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Title 31 casino requirements, FinCEN regulations, OFAC requirements, suspicious activity reporting, currency transaction reporting, customer due diligence, recordkeeping, and regulatory examination expectations.
  • Experience with AML monitoring systems, case management tools, data analysis, regulatory filing processes, risk assessment methodologies, and control testing practices preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-wide compliance initiatives, influence stakeholders across multiple properties, communicate with senior leadership, and support a culture of compliance in a fast-paced casino environment.
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, written communication, presentation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate complex transactions, identify trends, and recommend practical risk-based solutions.
  • CAMS certification or similar AML, financial crimes, compliance, audit, or gaming regulatory certification preferred.
