Job summary

Apollon Wealth Management seeks a Director of Alternative Investments to join its Investment Management team in a remote or hybrid capacity. The role centers on overseeing the alt investments program across hedge funds, private credit, private equity, real assets, and related structures.

Reporting to the CIO, the candidate will lead due diligence, support portfolio construction for ultra-high-net-worth clients, and manage sponsor relationships to ensure accurate product and marketing materials.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in financial services industry experience.
• 6–8 years conducting due diligence on alternative investments.
• MBA preferred; CAIA and CFA designations desirable.
• Strong communication and Excel skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor updates to approved alt investment strategies and due diligence processes.
• Perform rigorous operational and investment due diligence on alt strategies.
• Present recommendations to the Investment Committee and report on macroeconomic trends.
• Assist advisors with portfolio construction incorporating alternatives where appropriate.
• Manage relationships with sponsor firms and ensure documentation is current.
