Abacus is seeking a Director of Emerging Technology to lead development, deployment, and adoption of internal AI capabilities within a regulated MSP environment in the United States. You will translate business priorities into scalable AI solutions that improve efficiency and service delivery.

You will manage 2–3 AI engineers initially, scale the team, and partner with Security, Compliance, and Legal to ensure responsible AI usage and regulatory alignment while delivering measurable ROI.

Competenze

• 8+ years of experience in technology or automation.
• 7-10 years in software engineering, data engineering, AI/ML, or a related field.
• 5-7 years technical leadership or people management experience.
• 5-7 years deploying AI/ML or generative AI solutions into production.
• 5-7 years knowledge of LLMs, AI agents, RAG, automation, APIs, and data pipelines.
• 5-7 years translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• 5-7 years in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Mansioni

• Direct Reports: 2-3 AI engineers initially; team to scale as adoption expands.
• Primary Scope: internal AI strategy execution, AI engineering, automation, governance, and transformation.
• Partner with senior leaders to translate priorities into initiatives.
• Identify high-value AI opportunities across departments.
