Job summary

Pinterest seeks a Director of Marketing Technology & Innovation to lead AI-enabled marketing technology across the organization. You will manage a hybrid team of TPMs, AI engineers, and partners, shaping the MarTech stack and AI adoption.

You will drive vendor governance, platform evolution, and budget strategy while partnering with Legal and Security to ensure data privacy and compliance. This role combines hands-on leadership with hands-on engineering and strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Ten or more years of technical leadership experience at Director level, building and integrating enterprise MarTech systems.
• Hands-on AI implementation experience integrated into marketing stacks (CRM automation, lifecycle triggers, segmentation, campaign optimization).
• Strong command of API integrations, web platform architecture, server-side tracking, CMS ecosystems, and CI/CD, agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI roadmap and intake process for Marketing, Creative and Communications; ensure production-grade AI solutions with adoption plans.
• Lead the Platform & Tools team for marketing sites and the Tools ecosystem, including governance and vendor operations.
• Set operating model, culture and prioritization across teams, balancing full-time talent with offshore partnerships.
• Oversee end-to-end MarTech stack: CRM, MAP, CDP, DAM, social tools, and integration layers.
