Capital One is hiring a Director, AI Engineer to lead AI foundational systems and large-scale AI deployments from Cambridge, MA. This remote-eligible role partners with engineers, researchers, and product managers to deliver AI-driven financial services at scale.

You will guide model optimization, governance, and observability while shaping a strategy for enterprise AI capabilities and talent development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of AI/ML experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams with AI/ML systems.
• Experience deploying scalable AI on cloud platforms.

Responsabilités

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Oversee design, development, testing, deployment and support of AI software components.
• Lead foundation model optimization and model governance initiatives.
• Contribute to the long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.
• Champion Responsible AI across governance and compliance activities.
