Job summary

BNY's Loans Platform team is building a strategic platform for loans and structured credit products, including notes and CLOs, with AI-powered processing and on-chain transaction recording. You’ll own production systems and ship features that handle real financial transactions.

You’ll mentor the team, set engineering standards, and drive the platform roadmap with client delivery, aiming for a scalable, high-quality product that reduces costs and creates revenue for the firm.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with production systems.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems and API design.
• Experience across backend services, frontend UIs, AI/ML, or data infra.

Responsibilities

• Owns a platform area end-to-end from design to production.
• Architects event-driven systems and scalable services.
• Leads technical discovery and rapid prototyping before production.
• Sets coding standards and architectural patterns for a growing team.
• Mentors engineers, leads code reviews, and drives technical rigor.
• Collaborates with product/operations/compliance to translate requirements into working systems.
